The short version: Visera's design and capture processing runs on your iPhone. The app has no account server or cloud sync, and it does not upload your rooms, scans, profile or designs. Those stay in local app storage until you remove them.
Visera uses your camera and LiDAR scanner to detect walls and show paint colours or panels on them in live AR. This video and depth data is processed on-device, in the moment, to render the preview — it is not recorded, stored, or sent anywhere.
Visera offers two deliberate camera-based Scan an Item paths. LiDAR hold-to-scan stores the generated 3D model, colour samples baked into that model and an optional thumbnail; it does not keep a separate set of source still images. Apple's Object Capture path stores its reduced-detail model, thumbnail and the still images used for reconstruction so Visera can validate and reuse the scan. Both stay in local app storage and are never uploaded.
A Photo Piece made from a photo you choose or a Safari import stores a generated model textured with that image and a thumbnail. Temporary build files are removed; after a Safari import saves successfully, its separate inbox copy is removed too.
Choosing Remove in My Scans permanently removes that scan's record and purges its model, thumbnail and any retained reconstruction images. If file cleanup is interrupted, Visera retries it when My Scans next loads.
When you save a spatial home, Visera stores its measurements, design choices and related 3D assets locally using SwiftData (Apple's on-device database) and local files. Delete an individual room or whole home from My Houses; Visera also removes the room's stored spatial-home package. Settings → Your Data → Clear Gallery saves removes only the lightweight paint and panel looks in Gallery.
If you choose to save a snapshot of a design, Visera adds it to your Photos library only when you explicitly do so. After that, you manage or delete the image in Photos.
When you choose Send to Visera in Safari, the extension copies the selected image and page metadata — page title, image description, website host, source and page URLs, and capture time — into Visera's shared on-device App Group inbox. It is not uploaded to a Visera server. The local copy remains until you import it or press and hold its tile in My Scans to remove it.
Visera offers an optional profile — just a name and an email address displayed in Settings. It is stored only on your device, in Visera's own storage. It is never uploaded, never shared, and is not required: you can use every feature of Visera without one. Delete it any time from Settings → Your Data → Delete account, which removes it from your device immediately and permanently.
The Visera app does not track you across apps or websites, and uses no analytics or advertising SDKs at all. Our App Store privacy manifest declares NSPrivacyTracking = false and lists no collected data types — you can verify this yourself; it ships inside the app bundle.
On the shop pages of this website we use Vercel Web Analytics so we can see which pieces people look at. It is cookieless and privacy-preserving: it sets no cookies, does not follow you to any other site, does not build a profile of you, and is not an advertising tool. It records page views and general information such as country, browser and device type — never your name, email or anything that identifies you personally. Vercel already hosts this site and is listed under "Who else touches your data" below. Because no cookies are used, there is no consent banner to click.
Visera Pro upgrades are handled entirely by Apple through StoreKit. Visera never sees your payment details — Apple processes the transaction and tells Visera whether you're subscribed.
Furniture bought on this website is separate from Visera Pro and is processed by Stripe, not Apple. See Ordering furniture from this website below.
If you use Share Visera, iOS opens the standard system share sheet with a short message you can send to anyone you choose. Visera doesn't see who you share with or whether you shared at all.
If you deliberately open a product or store link in the app, iOS opens that retailer's website. The retailer may receive ordinary browser information under its own privacy policy. Visera does not send your saved rooms, scans, profile or design data with the link.
Before opening the website, Visera records a capped local history of up to 500 shopping-link taps: product identifier and name, retailer, link provider and time. This supports on-device shopping history and diagnostics; it is not uploaded or shared. Delete it from Settings → Your Data → Clear shopping link history.
The Visera app has no backend and no cloud sync. Your Visera data stays on your device unless you actively export or share it yourself. A Safari import moves the selected web image and metadata between the extension and app on the same device. Opening an external shop link is also your choice and is handled by the retailer's website, as described above. Buying furniture from this website is a separate thing, and is described below.
Deleting Visera from iOS removes its local app and App Group data. Snapshots you saved to Photos and backups you exported to Files remain in those locations until you delete them there. Website order records are separate and follow the retention terms below.
If you buy a piece from the Visera Collection, the checkout is handled by Stripe. You give Stripe your name, email address, phone number, delivery address and card details. Visera never receives or stores your card details.
Visera receives the order itself — your name, email address, phone number, delivery address, and the piece and finish you chose — because we need it to actually send you the furniture. That order is stored with the payment in Stripe, and is handled by our website host, Vercel.
Stripe and Vercel store and process this on servers outside Australia, including in the United States.
We keep order records for as long as Australian tax and business record-keeping rules require, which is generally seven years. If you want a copy of your order data, or want it deleted where we are not required to keep it, email support@visera.vision.
We do not sell your data, and we do not use it for advertising.
Standard Apple platform services (such as the App Store, TestFlight and iOS itself) operate under Apple's privacy policy.
The Visera app is a general-audience home-design tool and does not collect personal information from its users. The furniture shop on this website is not directed to children; a parent or guardian should place any order. Website analytics and order handling are described above.
If what Visera does with your data ever changes, this page will be updated to match and the "last updated" date above will change too.
